Clarksville, Tenn. – Weekend plans took an unexpected turn Saturday for guests of the inaugural Seafood and Beer Festival held at the Downtown Commons. The event was originally scheduled from 3 – 8pm and promised a variety of ticket options including private cabanas and exotic seafood menu choices.

However, guests were met with disappointment when menu items were non-existent or arrived hours behind schedule. Nearly 100 disgruntled guests took to social media to express their displeasure, with many more commenting and sharing similar stories.

Many called the event a “scam” and a “complete disaster”. While most were met with long lines and disappointing meals, several guests did have enjoyable experiences. There was face-painting on site and eventually live music.

The public outcry caused Downtown Commons officials to make a public statement, separating themselves from the event.

Ticket holders of the event looking for answers, or requesting a refund, can email clarksvilleseafoodfestival@gmail.com.
