CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Children of all ages are encouraged to come to Christmas on the Cumberland for fun, family-friendly activities. Christmas on the Cumberland is open nightly from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5:00 to11:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through January 3, 2015. Admission to the event is free.

Activities will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., this Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29.

Friday evening’s activities will include caroling, making reindeer food and sipping hot cocoa. Saturday evening, children can make holiday cards,write letters to Santa and visit with him, too! Parents, don’t forget your cameras!

Visitors are also encouraged to help local nonprofits in need by participating in Giving on the Cumberland by taking a “request ornament” from a Christmas tree in the McGregor Park Museum and bringing their donation to the Parks & Recreation main office (102 Public Square) during business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or to the museum December 19-20, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
