Virginia Pace Bumpus Sinks, age 94, Clarksville, died Friday, April 14, 2023, at Bedrock Spring Meadows Health Care.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Rye’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
She was born April 19, 1928, in Cheatham County, Tn., daughter of Benjamin Cooper Pace and Cassie Shores Pace. She was preceded in death by parents and previous husband Clyde Eldon Bumpus, brother James Pace, and sister Eudora Pace Hunter.
Mrs. Sinks was retired from Finance and Accounting Office, Ft. Campbell, Ky with 35 years of service. She also was employed at Hal Stone, CPA, Clarksville, and The Methodist Publishing House, Nashville, in the Accounting Office. She was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church.
She is survived by: Husband – Jessie Sinks, Clarksville, Son – Donald Lee Bumpus, (Julie) Marietta, Ga, and stepdaughter – Connie Jackson (Ben) Cunningham, Tn. Additionally, Virginia is survived by four grandchildren – Laina Bumpus, Daniel Bumpus (Kirsten), April Kelly (Phillip), and Aubra Bumpus, two step-grandchildren – Ben Jackson (Vanna) and Bryant Jackson (Shelby), thirteen great-grandchildren, and four step great-grandchildren.
