Violet Atkins, age 96, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at Fieldstone Place.
Violet was born October 9, 1925, in Berkley, MI, to the late Chester Dundas and Augusta Windspur Dundas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Atkins; four siblings, Ivy (Robert) Hart, Phillis (Frank) Defilippo, Chester (Rhoda) Dundas, and June (William) Krueger; and one sister-in-law, Elsie Dundas.
She is survived by her son, William (Marion) Atkins; brother, Jack Dundas; and sister, Nancy (Fred) Luthardt; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Mrs. Atkins formerly owned and operated Berkley Resale Shop. She loved her cats, puzzles, and word searches. Violet loved her family and especially feeding them. She loved to garden. She was affectionately called “Aunt Violet” or “Auntie Vi” by many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 26, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Lannom and Rev. Jack Dundas officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, February 26, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
