OAK GROVE, Ky. – The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will be on display in Oak Grove Oct. 9-12.
An opening ceremony will be held Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. at the War Memorial Walking Trail (101 Walter Garrett Lane).
Once the wall is set up, visitation will be open 24 hours a day.
The wall is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC, it stands six feet tall at the center and covers almost 300 feet from end to end.
This Traveling Memorial stands as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the Vietnam War and allows people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their home town who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington.
