CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville public school students have had a four-day break due to snow, and now parents get a break as kids get back to class today.
Clarksville-Montgomery County schools allow for five days before students have to start making them up. Days with delayed start times are not considered missed.
However, if more than five days are missed before TCAP testing begins, students will have to make up the days by staying an additional 30 minutes each day until the time is accounted for.
Teachers are only given three forgiveness days and must make up any beyond that.
The district produced this YouTube video explaining how the decision is made on closing schools.
