CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville man was allegedly stabbed while sitting outside his apartment July 14.
According to a police report, the victim was sitting on the stairs outside his apartment on Memorial Dr. when he was approached by a man who came around the corner.
The victim told police that the suspect asked him what gang he was in. When the victim told the man he was not in a gang, the suspect reportedly became irate and lunged at him before running behind the apartment building.
The victim said he then realized he had been stabbed and went inside to ask his wife to call 911.
When police arrived, they found the victim sitting outside. Police said he had blood on his shirt, but the wound did not appear to be severe.
Police were unable to locate the suspect at the time, who was described as a black male in his early 20s, approximately 5’10”, and weighing about 160 pounds. The report said the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and had a small afro.
