HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – The Hopkinsville Fire Department rescued an individual from a house fire at 600 Deepwood Dr. Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported shortly before 5 a.m. When they arrived, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the basement.
One of the home’s occupants told firefighters someone was still inside. The crew entered the basement and safely removed the victim, who was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
The fire was extinguished by 7 a.m. and is still under investigation. The house sustained heavy smoke damage throughout the structure.
