CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The victim of the shooting that occurred Sept. 6 at Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Holiday Drive intersection has died as a result of his injuries.
Last week, several neighborhoods were shut down and residents were asked to stay indoors because of a shooting investigation in the St. Bethlehem area. The intersection of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Holiday Drive were shut down while officers processed the crime scene.
Photos from the scene, shared with Clarksville Now, showed a red Dodge Charger with 18 bullet holes in the driver’s side door and window. The Charger appeared to have crashed into a gold Jeep Cherokee, which then rear-ended a red pickup truck.
The suspect’s vehicle was later found empty on Bauling Lane, off of Whitfield Road. A perimeter was set up to contain the area and locate the suspect. “It was determined that they dumped the vehicle and fled the area,” CPD spokesman, Scott Beaubien said.
The victim is a 17-year-old male and CPD will not be releasing his name.
“Detectives with CPD’s Special Operations Unit have been working diligently on this case and continue to follow leads,” Beaubien said.
