CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The man killed in a fire at a Clarksville apartment complex Monday night has been identified as 69-year-old Michael Flamingo.
Clarksville Police and Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to Waterbury Apartments at 2421 Madison St. at about 8:50 p.m.
Prior to emergency personnel’s arrival, residents of Waterbury Apartments smelled smoke and found the apartment on fire. They forced their way inside and pulled the man from the apartment.
EMS personnel were unable to revive Flamingo, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say there are no signs of foul play and nothing about the fire is suspicious.
The incident is being investigated by Detective Michael Ulrey, and the cause of the fire is being investigated by Clarksville Fire Marshal Ray Williams.
