CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association CVMA), Tennessee 18-2, Red River Crew, were busy Thursday with their task of placing American Flags at Patriots Park on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Clarksville. It is something that the CVMA veterans, their family members, and friends, do about four times each year to remember fallen Soldiers.
Sergeant First Class Rebecca Ward with the 101st NCO Academy talked about why the group was displaying the flags. “We’re setting up flags in honor of everyone who has fallen from Fort Campbell since 9/11,” said Ward. She added that there were 653 American Flags set up at the site and they will remain through early next week.
