This Veterans Day, military personnel will have many opportunities to take advantage of discounts from a wide variety of businesses.
When looking for Veterans Day deals, it is important to keep in mind that both local and national companies are offering deals during the holiday, and many of them have terms that require proof of military service. Some businesses will accept anything from a current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) to a photograph in uniform, though most prefer military IDs or veterans organizations cards. To determine what kind of identification a business requires, it is recommended that veterans and their families call ahead before visiting a specific location. It is also important to ask if the local store is participating in the deals offered by its national group.
