CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Veterans Coalition (MCVC) recently held its monthly meeting at the Montgomery County Veterans Plaza.

The Welcome Home Veterans Celebration, spear-headed by Ms. Frances Manzitto, with Visit Clarksville, and strongly supported by the Coalition was an absolute success. MCVC has received many stories from veterans deeply touched by the five day event.

MCVC Legislative Liaison, Mr. Steve Singleton, informed the Coalition that there was a planning meeting on September 2 with representatives of veterans and soldiers state organizations to discuss the finalization of the legislative TVET (Tennessee Veterans) comprised of representatives from various organizations. TVET would oversee Veterans Day on the Hill, the voting process for veteran legislation, and the follow up throughout the legislative session as a collective unit to show solidarity of the veteran community.
