CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The Montgomery County Veterans Coalition (MCVC) hosted its 2019 fundraiser dinner and silent auction on March 8, 2019.
MCVC named Mission BBQ its 2019 Veterans Community Service Award.
“Our community has been blessed by the generosity of this business, since before they opened their doors in Clarksville,” MCVC Director Sherry Pickering said.
The meeting’s speaker, Ret. Brig. General Scott Brower, emphasized that veterans are not broken. Instead he focused on the many strengths veterans bring to any situation.
MCVC is grateful to all that attended, donated and supported the dinner and silent auction.
Photos were taken by Josh Vaughn, which can be viewed or purchased at his website with some of the proceeds donated to MCVC.
The coalition is a 501c3 non-profit that works to advocate for veterans and their families and is dependent upon the generosity of the community to find its mission. The MCVC motto is Common in Cause- Diverse in Mission. The MCVC brings together the community to share information, community to share information, knowledge, support and resources in order to become a unified voice in advocating for veteran in our community by identifying issues and creating solutions, without the duplication of services.
