CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Screaming Eagle Honor Flight’s next flight of the 2017 flying season will be May 13, 2017.
Groups will depart from the Sam’s Club parking lot at exit 4 at 4:15 a.m. and arrive at the Nashville airport Southwest Airlines ticket counter concourse C at approximately 5 a.m.
The Veterans on this flight include World War II, Korea, and Vietnam veterans. During this one-day trip the group will visit the World War II memorial, Korean War memorial, Vietnam War memorial, the Air Force memorial, and the Marine Corps memorial also known as the Iwo Jima memorial. They will also witness the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.
Each veteran is provided a guardian who pays their own way for the privilege of escorting one of these heroes.
Anyone wishing to see the veterans off or welcome them back is welcome.
The group’s arrival back to Nashville is scheduled for 8:35 p.m. on Southwest flight 5351.
There are still seats available. Priority will be given to World War II Veterans, Korean War Veterans, and then Vietnam War Veterans.

Screaming Eagle Honor Flight has flown 158 veterans to DC to visit their memorials since the program started in January 2014. These flights are free to the veterans and are funded by the generous and patriotic donations of businesses, groups, civic organizations, and individuals throughout North Central Tennessee and South Central Kentucky. A future flight for the September 2017 time frame is currently being scheduled.
