CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Montgomery County Veterans Coalition (MCVC) has partnered with the Downtown Artists Co-Op (DAC) to provide the community an opportunity to experience the creative paths veterans walk in expressing themselves through art and craftsmanship.

The MCVC Veterans’ Art Expo provides a platform to express the varying experiences, interests, and talents of our friends, neighbors, coworkers, and fellow residents of Tennessee and Kentucky, who just happen to be Veterans of the U.S. Armed Services as well.

MCVC Executive Director Sherry Pickering says, “This is not your typical art show. We hope to have photography, watercolors, oils, sculptures, forging, woodworking, whittling, quilting and so much more. We want veterans to express what art means to them.”

Submitted pieces will be on display through the month of June, following the kickoff at the First Thursday Art Walk on June 2nd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the DAC.

Submissions open

Artists may submit their works now through May 21. All U.S. Armed Services active duty and veteran artists, craftsmen, and artisans, 18 years or older residing in Tennessee or Kentucky may enter. Artists may submit a total of 3 works in 2D and 3D categories.
