CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Vegetarians and vegans who are tired of settling for salad have a lot of options in Clarksville. While we don’t have many purely vegan restaurants here, we do have some vegan and vegetarian options on an array of local menus.

Here are the local-restaurant favorite vegetarian and vegan menu options, according to those who responded to a recent Clarksville Now poll.

1. Don’t Have A Cow Vegan Cafe and Takeaway: This restaurant won Gold in Clarksville’s Best 2021 for Best Vegan/Vegetarian spots in Clarksville. This is the only exclusively vegan restaurant in the area, with plenty of delicious eats using animal-free meat substitutes, including a Field Roast Burger, a Meatball Marinara Sub and Chicken Piccata Sandwich. They are at 110-A Tiny Town Road right across from Walgreens. Their hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday.

2. Hot Pita: This restaurant won Silver in Clarksville’s Best 2021. According to poll results, some of Clarksville’s favorite vegan items from here are the Vegan Spicy Black Bean with Hummus and the Veggie Falafel rice bowls. They are downtown Clarksville at 136 Franklin St. Their hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

3. Athena Greek Cafe: At this restaurant, veggie eaters swear by their Veggie Falafel. You can get it on a sandwich, salad or on a bed of rice. You can find them at 125 Franklin St., and their hours are Monday-Wednesday 4 p.m.-midnight, Thursday 4 p.m.-3 a.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-3 a.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.-midnight.

9. Tandoor Indian Bistro: Tandoor Indian Bistro is at 2868 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. in the same plaza as Ulta Beauty. This establishment offers a wide variety of Indian cuisine and a cozy atmosphere to add to the experience.
