Van Revis passed peacefully from this life, in the arms of his loving daughter, at his residence, on Saturday, July 4, 2015, on what would have been his 65th wedding anniversary.

Van was born May 11, 1929 and grew up in Asheville, NC and came to Camp Campbell, KY as a young paratrooper. He married Peggy Powell from Cadiz, KY on July 4, 1950, and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage until he was widowed. He served honorably in the Korean Conflict, and they settled in Clarksville, TN.

After service, Van worked as a contractor and established Red River Construction Company, Inc. and enjoyed his work and success in commercial construction for forty years, completing many city, county, state, and federal contracts.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years; one son, William Hanley Revis; one brother, William B. Revis; and four sisters.

He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory, one daughter and best friend, Theresa Jan Revis.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Father Eric Fowlks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, with a Rosary following at 7 p.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8. All visitation will take place at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be brother-in-law John Powell; Phil Leeton, Tal Powers, Joey Long, Josh Ladd, and Jeff Long.

Honorary pallbearers will be brother-in-law Howard Hams and family member Rob Long.
