CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – USO Fort Campbell will be hosting their 19th Annual Eagle Toy Run on Saturday, November 9. This year’s Toy Run will begin at Old Glory Distilling Co. at 1:00 p.m. Registration will open at noon.

“The Eagle Toy Run is the primary source of toys for our annual Great Gift Giveaway, which typically serves hundreds of Fort Campbell families,” says Kari Moore, Center Director of USO Fort Campbell and USO Nashville. “Some families use this event to supplement their holiday gift giving, but some families really rely on this event to deliver the bulk of their holiday gifts. We need about 900 toys to ensure that each child in each participating family receives something new.”

“We have numerous family members serving in the military today along with our employees that have served our great country,” said Tia and Danny Suiter of Appleton Harley-Davidson, who partner with the USO for the event. “It is a great honor and a privilege to serve our soldiers. We are grateful to work alongside Kari Moore with the USO holding this Veterans Day ride. May glory be to God and glory be to our soldiers. One died for our sins and the other died for our freedom. We are the home of the free because of the brave!”

The USO’s Great Gift Giveaway will be held Wednesday, December 11, this year. Military families are encouraged to watch the USO Fort Campbell Facebook page for more information about the Great Gift Giveaway.

This year’s ride will end at Appleton Harley-Davidson (2501 Hwy 41-A Bypass., Clarksville) where an after-party will be held. There will be live music by Jared Blake, food by Legends BBQ Smokehouse, cold brew and vendors onsite. Guests will have a chance to win up to $1,000 in giveaways throughout the afternoon. The National Anthem will be played by Tim Watson, fiddle player for George Strait.

Riders can pre-register for the Eagle Toy Run online. The first 100 people to pre-register and check in on site will have an opportunity to receive an event tee shirt (while supplies last). There will be onsite registration, and riders can bring $25 and/or a new toy.

Anyone unable to attend but still wishing to donate can make a monetary contribution at www.uso.org/donateFortCampbell or call or email Kari Moore at 270-660-9068 or kmoore@uso.org to make arrangements for a donation. New, unwrapped toys can also be dropped off at Appleton Harley-Davidson.
