CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Families in Clarksville looking to help families in Ukraine have another way to do it, and the need is immediate.
Trenton Crossing Church of Christ is serving as a local hub for Healing Hands International to support the Family Bucket Project for Ukraine refugees, according to Chris Middleton.
The church has 1,000 buckets that need to get into the hands of 1,000 Clarksville families who can help fill them with basic supplies needed for Ukraine refugee families. The buckets are available at Trenton Crossing, 2650 Trenton Road.
Filled buckets must be returned to the church by noon Sunday, March 13.
Trenton Crossing will deliver the filled buckets to HHI Sunday afternoon, then the shipment departs from Nashville on March 14 and will travel through Poland to get to where the refugees are located.
Donors are welcome to take more than one bucket, but should only take what they are able to fill and return.
Pickup and drop off are 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. An update on Saturday hours will be posted.
