CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville man was arrested after he was linked to a U-Haul that was stuffed with approximately 80 pounds of marijuana.
According to an arrest warrant, Missouri Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle hauling a U-Haul trailer Nov. 22 in Missouri.
A search revealed approximately 80 pounds of marijuana in the padlocked trailer.
The driver told police she was being paid by her cousin, 39-year-old Jude Blanchard, to drive the marijuana from Washington to an address on Renee Court in Clarksville, TN. She said Blanchard had the key to the trailer.
A search warrant was executed at Blanchard’s Renee Ct. home where police found a receipt for the U-Haul rental and several keys for padlocks.
The arrest warrant says police also found several thousand dollars from the couch and kitchen table as well as a money counter, hash oil, edible THC products, and paraphernalia used to make butane hash oil.
Police said Blanchard was unemployed and had “unexplained wealth.”
He was arrested and charged with possession for resale of marijuana, drug manufacturing, conspiracy to deliver drugs, and money laundering. His bond was set at $125,000.
