The sign, Gone Fishing”, was hung out Saturday, June 6 for the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) Youth Fishing Rodeo. With the help of the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department, over 300 youngsters, ages 16 and under fished in the annual event held at the Liberty Park pond.

Trophies were give out for the biggest fish which went to 6-year-old Wyatt Wooten with a 4.40 pound catfish and also for a total weight of fish at 10.09 pounds. Ethan Duffie, age 10, won a trophy for smallest fish with a .01 pound Bluegill and 16-year-old Calin Robinson took home a trophy for the most fish by weight for a female, 9.32 pounds.

Along with TWRA and the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department, the fishing rodeo was sponsored by Wyatt Johnson Automotive, Grandpa’s, Wal-mart, Bowles Wholesale Bait and Walter Haynes Sunday School Class.
