CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department responded to two weather-related crashes in the area Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to Officer Natalie Hall, a car slid off the road Tuesday near Oakland Dr. and Meriwether Rd., nearly flipping over. No injuries were reported.

The second crash occurred Wednesday morning around 9:06 a.m. A Dodge truck driven by a 22-year-old man was traveling southbound on Wilma Rudolph Blvd.

The driver said he lost control when another driver came into his lane causing him to slide on the ice and hit a utility pole near F&M Bank. The truck hit the pole with enough force to knock it in half at the base.

CDE is currently working to replace the pole. As a result. Two northbound lanes are closed until further notice. Drivers are asked to slow down as the scene is cleared.

No injuries were reported.
