CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Police responded to a shots fired call at The Grove apartment complex on Nolen Rd. Wednesday around 8:30 p.m.
Officers discovered shell casings in the parking lot between building six and seven, according to a police report.
A Chevrolet Impala was struck through the trunk by two bullets and a BMW X5 was hit by one bullet in the rear tire.
No witnesses were located and no suspects have been identified at this time.
No injuries were reported.
In an unrelated incident, while officers were stopping vehicles at the gate of The Grove after the shots fired call, an officer smelled something suspicious coming from one of the vehicles. The officer asked the front seat passenger, 18-year-old Brandon Roberson, to step out of the vehicle, and as he stepped out he placed a backpack that he had been holding in the vehicle.

The report said Roberson then put his hand in his pants, and when the officer asked him to remove his hands, the suspect fled for about 100 yards before the officer caught up with him and Tased him.
The officer found a Beretta .22 in his gym shorts as well as marijuana in the backpack inside the vehicle.
Roberson was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, simple possession, paraphernalia, and evading arrest.
Officer Natalie Hall noted that the weapon found in Roberson’s possession did not match the shell casings found at the scene, and police have nothing to connect these two incidents at this time.
