CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police responded to two separate crashes involving motorcycles on Thursday, September 12, one of which ended in a fatality.

Around 7:09 p.m, CPD officers responded to a crash at Tiny Town Road and Cainlo Drive. The Driver of a Toyota Solara struck a motorcyle. The driver of the Toyota Solara was making a left turn from Cainlo Drive on to Tiny Town Road as the motorcyclist was travelling straight in the left lane. The driver attempted to merge into the continuous left turn lane and overtook the motorcyclist.

The motorcycle’s rider was flown by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt but was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Shortly after, at 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a second crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard and Durret Drive. A Chevy Cruze was leaving an Arby’s parking lot and turned left onto Fort Campbell Boulevard. The driver failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front of a motorcycle.

The driver of the Chevy Cruze was taken to Vanderbilt via LifeFlight and is in stable condition. A passenger in the same vehicle was taken to Tennova Medical Center.

The Motorcyclist was taken to Skyline Medical by LfeFlight where he is currently in critical condition.
