CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee (BCAT) has announced their all-state selections for the 2025-26 high school basketball season. Rossview High senior Jiyair Rose and Kirkwood High junior Armani Smith were both named selections on the 4A team.

Rose, the lone starter left from the Hawks’ 2024 state tournament run, took his game to another level this season, averaging 19.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.2 steals per game for Rossview.

Rose propelled the Hawks to a region 7-4A championship appearance, where he set a school record with 41 points. Rose will take his talents to Walters State Community College next season to continue his basketball career.

The Kirkwood Cobras defeated the Rossview Hawks on February 24, 2026 (Knox Rives)

As for Smith, he entered the season as the reigning Clarksville Now Defensive Player of the Year.

In 2025-26, he led the Cobras to a district a region title in his junior season, while averaging 24 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game. The scariest part of Smith’s season for other Clarksville-Area coaches is that they will have to deal with him for one more year.
