CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two men were found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole September 21, 2018 for the 2015 death of Amy Murphy of Clarksville.
According to court documents, Kevin Forman was found guilty of first degree murder in perpetration of kidnapping, premeditated first degree murder, and especially aggravated kidnapping. Forman, who was a soldier stationed at Fort Campbell at the time of the murder, was discharged from the military as a result of the conviction.
Court documents also show Kellum Williams was found guilty of first degree murder in perpetration of kidnapping, premeditated first degree murder, and especially aggravated kidnapping.
Both men were sentenced to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole. The jury found the men’s crimes to be “especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel.”
The burned remains of Amy LeeAnn Murphy, 31, of Clarksville, were found in a field of Highway 76 in Adams, TN near the Robertson/Montgomery County line in February 2015.
The three other suspects charged in the case will appear in court next month.
