CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) have taken two men into custody for vandalism and theft at a home under construction.

According to MCSO, Christopher Nicholas Lee Oquinn, 25, and James Dudley Cosgrove, 34, broke into a home still under construction on Freedom Drive sometime between July 25 and 26, 2018. Once inside the home they poured paint on the floors and left the water running in all the faucets flooding the two story home.

On July 26, 2018, the men stole a 2005 Buick Century from a construction worker on Freedom Drive. With the help of a coworker the owner of the vehicle followed the suspects and blocked them from leaving the subdivision.

A deputy working in the area noticed the vehicles and approached the men.

Oquinn and Cosgrove were taken into custody and charged with vehicle theft. Oquinn faces additional charges of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to provide immediate notice of an accident.

Additional charges are pending.

Oquinn’s bond is $15,500. Cosgrove’s bond is $15,000.
