Two men accused of attacking victim, stealing his car at gas station

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two men have been arrested for allegedly attacking a man and stealing his vehicle while he was pumping gas.

According to arrest warrants, the victim said he was pumping gas at Chum’s Market on Peachers Mill Rd. when the two suspects stole his 2005 Dodge Magnum.

Video surveillance shows the suspects pulling their vehicle into the business in front of the victim’s car. One of the suspects, Frank Jochimsen, got out of the vehicle and hit the victim in the arm with a bat while a struggle took place between the victim and the other suspect, Brendan Earl.

As the victim backed away, Earl got in the victim’s car and drove away while Jochimsen followed in the other vehicle.

During a police interview with Jochimsen, he said he hit the victim with a bat because he was afraid the man was going to hit him with a club. He also told police he picked up Earl after the stolen car was abandoned nearby.

The Dodge Magnum, valued at $8,500, has not yet been found.

Earl, 23, and Jochimsen, 55, were both charged with carjacking. Earl’s bond was set at $75,000 and Jochimsen’s was reduced to $15,000.
