CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash shortly after midnight Saturday, June 7 on Garrettsburg Rd. at Purple Heart Parkway in Clarksville.
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Quinten D. Coats, 23, was driving a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse with Chad A. Turner, 26, in the passenger seat. Coats lost control of the vehicle, which ran off the road into a ditch and struck a tree.
Coats died on the scene and Turner died later at Vanderbilt Medical Center from his injuries.
The report states that both men had been drinking and were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
