CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Local law enforcement arrested two men after the 911 center received several calls about shots being fired near Parkway Place in Clarksville.

The events occurred around 7:45 pm Thursday night. There were no reports of anyone being injured, but multiple rounds of gunfire were heard.

A vehicle with suspected involvement was spotted on Peachers Mill Rd.  A traffic stop was attempted, but the vehicle fled causing law enforcement to pursue the vehicle.

The vehicle, a Chrysler 300, crashed near 506 Wren Drive and the occupants attempted to exit.  The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Clarksville Police Department quickly took the two suspects into custody.

Marijuana and shell casings were found inside of the vehicle.

The investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle was Cameron Johnson, 19, and Clinton Hunter, 23, was inside of the vehicle when the shots were fired.

Both were booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Johnson was charged with: RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, SIMPLE POSSESSION, AND EVADING ARREST; Bond: $55,000.  Hunter was charged with RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT; Bond: $25,000.
