CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is currently investigating multiple crashes that took place off Merriweather Road on Saturday night.
At around 6:30 p.m., CPD announced the closure of the road due to two injury crashes at 729 and 948 Merriweather Road. In turn, the crashes have caused issues and congestion at the intersection of Merriweather Road and Oakland Road.
As police continue to clear the scene, they ask for motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes until the roadway can be reopened, according to CPD Lt. Charles Gill.
