CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming November election is Tuesday, October 11.
To register to vote, you must:
• Be at least 18 years old on or before election day;
• Be a citizen of the United States;
• Be a resident of the state of Tennessee (Guidelines for Determining Residency); and
• Not have been convicted of a felony; or, if you have been convicted of a felony, you must have had your voting rights restored (Restoration of Voting Rights).
Visit the Montgomery County Election Commission at 350 Pageant Lane (Suite 404) to register. Bring a valid photo ID such as a Tennessee state photo ID or a federal photo ID. If you are already registered but have moved since the last time you voted, you will need to change your address information.
Election Commission hours are Monday Through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, October 8 from 9 a.m. to noon. For more information visit www.mcgtn.org/election.
