I have lived here for five years now. Really love the city. I want to say the city is awesome to try and take control of (Liberty) Park. (Goose hunt planned at Liberty Park to reduce 250-bird population)
I was a park worker at Lake Waveland near Crawfordsville, Indiana. We tried the hunts, but once that was done, we had a man that lived on the lake that would gather the eggs, and he donated them to anyone that needed or wanted them. This seemed to help keep the population under better control. Granted, he did not take all, so the population could maintain.
Also, we would give tickets to people that fed them.
