Truman James Harrier, Jr., lovingly known as “Jim”, age 89, of Clarksville, TN entered his eternal rest with Jesus his Lord on Friday, July 12, 2024.
Celebration of Life and US Military Honors will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Freeman and Rev. Wally Vinson officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Jim was a Veteran of The United States Army and will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
He entered this life on May 12, 1935, in Pittsburg, PA to the late Truman J. Harrier, Sr. and Anita I. Shiflett Harrier. After trusting in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, as his Savior from sin, Jim cherished his relationship with God by studying God’s Holy Word, praying daily for his family and friends, and serving his Lord in many ways. God led him to teach the next generations of God’s salvation in Christian organizations including Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), Kids for Christ, and his church. He was a member of Excell Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, John and Joseph Harrier.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Jane Daniels Harrier; children, David (Denise) Harrier, Anna Harrier, Daniel (Kathy) Harrier, and Mary (Gary) Peterson; siblings, Edith Martini, and Gordon Harrier; grandchildren, Ian (Kaitlyn) Harrier, Stuart (Vesta) Harrier, James (Kayla) Glass, John Glass, Matthew Harrier, Josh Peterson, and Lexi Peterson; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Harrier, and Aslyn Aldridge.
