CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A pickup truck crashed into a West Coast Taco Shop in Clarksville on Sunday.

Just before 11 p.m. Sunday night, the driver of the truck pulled over in the other side of the parking lot and got out of his vehicle. He didn’t realize that the truck wasn’t in park, according to Clarksville Police Detective Mike Patterson.

The truck rolled across the parking lot and smashed into the glass storefront of the business at 1725 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., Suite E. The restaurant was closed at the time, and there were no reports of injuries.

The driver was cited for failure to use reasonable care and no proof of insurance, Patterson said.

The store had to close for a few hours but was expected to be back open Monday afternoon.
