Trinity Episcopal Church invites all who might find this season difficult, or who are struggling this year, to our Christmas in a Minor Key service on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m.
Sometimes called a Blue Christmas service, this gathering provides a quiet and contemplative worship service as an alternative to the more traditional gatherings, in honor of those who are experiencing grief and struggling with loss of any type.
For some, memories of past experiences and the pain of present experiences and situations can become overwhelming. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Eve can be very difficult and a reminder of the challenges in our lives. In this service, we invite you to listen. We invite you to pray. And we trust that you will find hope and comfort in knowing that you are not alone.
“We invite all those who mourn any loss this season no matter their background or experience, our red doors on Franklin Street are open to all,” says the Rev. Dorothy Hartzog, Trinity’s priest. This service will be held in Trinity’s sanctuary at 317 Franklin Street, downtown Clarksville.
