CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)-  A  man accused of driving under the influence and causing a wreck that killed three young adults pleaded guilty in Judge William Goodman’s court.

Jeffrey Daniel Joiner was charged with three counts of vehicular homicide- driver intoxication, three counts of vehicular homicide, one count of driving under the influence, DUI first, driving on roadways laned for traffic and speeding.

On Sunday, September 24, 2017, a pickup truck driven by Joiner was heading southbound on Highway 12 when he crossed the center line and struck a car driven by 20-year-old Megan Black.

Black and two passengers, 19-year-old Shayna Shiddell and 21-year-old Randall Pierce, were all killed in the wreck.

Joiner was also injured.

At his trial conference on  Thursday, Jan. 16,  Joiner entered an open guilty plea to three counts of vehicular homicide and one count of DUI 1st.

Joiner’s license was revoked for three years and he gave it to the judge.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 10th.
