Fort Campbell, KY. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Fort Campbell Family, and Morale Welfare and Recreation Program, Fort Campbell Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS), and FedEx will deliver approximately 500 live Christmas trees to Fort Campbell Soldiers as part of the Trees for Troops program.

The event will be at the South Sports Complex Parking Lot located at the corner of Air Assault St. and Wickham Ave., Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for junior enlisted Soldiers and 2-4:30 p.m. for any active duty Soldiers, while supplies last. (Military ID Cards will be checked).

Trees for Troops brings together FedEx, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and tree farmers across America to deliver real Christmas trees to service members stationed across the U.S. and overseas. Since the Trees for Troops program launched in 2005, FedEx has shipped more than 200,000 real Christmas trees to service members and their families-covering every branch of the military at more than 65 bases in 17 countries.

Fort Campbell is expecting approximately 500 trees. Trees will be available on a first come, first served basis to active-duty Soldiers or their spouses with a military ID. Please bring a blanket and rope to secure the tree to your vehicle. MWR is not responsible for damage to any vehicle.
