Tree falls, hits 3 vehicles on Madison St.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A tree fell On Madison St. during windy conditions Monday afternoon, hitting three vehicles in the process.

According to Lt. Steve Warren with the Clarksville Police Department, the tree fell around 3:20 p.m. on Madison St. near Chick-fil-A.

Two cars traveling eastbound and one car traveling westbound were struck.

Two vehicles sustained minor damage and were able to drive away from the scene. Their occupants were not injured.

The third vehicle, a Ford Fusion traveling eastbound, was heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the Fusion was transported by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center with minor injuries.

TN Department of Transportation cleared the scene by 5 p.m.
