CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – For months, homeless people had been living under a trailer behind the Hananoki restaurant on Madison Street. Thursday night, that trailer went up in flames, and now a homeless man has been arrested on an arson charge.
Just after 9 p.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to a fire at the trailer, behind 2400 Madison St., according to Assistant Fire Chief Michael Rios.

Stations 2, 3 and 4 responded, and they quickly put out the fire. No one was injured, and no buildings were damaged.
CFR investigators had suspicions about arson, so they called in the Clarksville Police Department, Rios said.
A man listed as homeless was arrested and booked into Montgomery County Jail on a charge of arson, according to Police Sgt. Charles Gill.
The trailer belonged to the owner of Hananoki, and he had been using it for storage, Gill said.
