UPDATE: Traffic mostly clear after wrecks on Interstate 24 in Clarksville

Update, 6:30 p.m.: Traffic is mostly clear, with some lingering slowness eastbound just after Exit 8.

Update, 5:05 p.m.: Eastbound traffic around Exits 1 and 4 has gotten worse, backed up past the Kentucky state line, but it has cleared past about mile marker 6.

Westbound traffic from Nashville has cleared up.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Wrecks have Interstate 24 eastbound slowed down through Clarksville.

One wreck was called in at about 4:15 p.m.

At 4:25 p.m., eastbound traffic was backed up around three exits: Exit 1, Exit 4 and Exit 8.

Another wreck in the westbound lanes just after Exit 19 has traffic from Nashville backed up as well.
