UPDATE: Traffic backed up on Interstate 24 in Clarksville

Update, 5 p.m.: Traffic is clearing but still slow from about mile marker 9 to mile marker 6.

Update, 4:15 p.m.: Traffic is clearing, but the backup has shifted. It’s now from mile marker 6 almost to Exit 8.

Update, 4:05 p.m.: Traffic is backed up to mile marker 7.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A pair of wrecks backed up traffic on Interstate 24 Thursday afternoon.

At 3:35 p.m., wrecks were indicated in the westbound lanes near mile marker 2 and near mile marker 3. Traffic was backed up to just past Exit 4.
