UPDATE: Interstate 24 traffic back to normal after wreck with at least 3 injuries

Update, 8:40 p.m.: Traffic has cleared through the area.

Update, 6:45 p.m.: Interstate 24 eastbound is closed at Exit 4. Traffic is being diverted off the interstate at Exit 1.

Eastbound traffic is backed up into Kentucky almost to Pembroke Road.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A major wreck has Interstate 24 eastbound traffic backed up past Exit 1.

At 5:01 p.m., vehicles crashed near mile marker 3, and at least three people were being transported for non-critical injuries, according to emergency dispatch.

At 5:20 p.m., the eastbound lanes were backed up past Exit 1.

Westbound traffic is backed up near the state line for an ongoing construction project in Kentucky.
