Update, 6:40 p.m.: The Bypass is now back open.

Update, 5:15 p.m.: The Boot Hill wreck has been cleared, but traffic is still backed up on Second Street.

From the Bypass wreck, southbound Riverside Drive traffic is backed up to Commerce Street.

Southbound Cumberland Drive traffic is backed up to Crossland Avenue. Northbound is locked up from Riverside to Hickory Grove Boulevard.

The Bypass remains closed.

Update, 4:30 p.m.: At least four vehicles were involved in the Monday afternoon wreck on the Bypass, and there are serious injuries involved.

A tan-colored sedan at the scene had its front end torn off, and it landed upside down. A white SUV had its back end caved in. A small blue car had major front-end damage. Also at the scene was a damaged silver car.

The Bypass is closed from Edmondson Ferry Road to Cumberland Drive. Officers at the scene estimated the Bypass will be closed for at least five hours.

On Cumberland Drive north of Riverside, traffic in both directions is backed up past Hickory Grove Boulevard.

Westbound traffic on the Bypass is backed up well past Sevenmile Ferry Road.

Southbound traffic on Riverside is backed up to Current Street.

Update, 4:05 p.m.: A separate wreck at the top of Boot Hill has Providence Boulevard northbound blocked.

The wreck happened at 3:47 p.m. and has traffic backed up onto Kraft Street, Riverside Drive to McClure Street and Second Street to Georgia Avenue.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A wreck on the US 41A Bypass has traffic blocked in both directions.

The wreck happened at 3:28 p.m. between Avondale Drive and Maddox Circle.

Westbound traffic is backed up to Sevenmile Ferry Road.

Eastbound traffic is backed up past Cumberland Drive onto Riverside Drive, almost to Dean Drive.

Callers reported people turning around at Cumberland Drive to avoid the area, and traffic is backed up on Cumberland Drive northbound past Riverside Drive.
