UPDATE: Cumberland Drive back open after critical injury wreck at Liberty Park

A woman was critically injured in a wreck on Cumberland Drive at Liberty Park in Clarksville Thursday morning.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A woman was critically injured in a wreck on Cumberland Drive at Liberty Park Thursday morning.

At about 9:28 a.m., the vehicles crashed at 1188 Cumberland Drive, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien. One of the drivers had to be extricated from her vehicle and she was being flown to Nashville by LifeFlight helicopter. Fatal Accident Crash Team investigators were processing the scene.

The northbound lanes of Cumberland were are shut down, with traffic diverted onto Southern Drive. At 10:10 a.m., traffic was backed up through the area. Motorists are advised to avoid the area until the roadway can be cleared.
