CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A vehicle fire on Boot Hill has traffic snarled up in downtown Clarksville.

At 5:15 p.m., Clarksville Police were working to clear the scene, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

Northbound traffic was being diverted and only one lane was open southbound. “This is causing major traffic congestion, and CPD is asking the public to avoid the area and find alternate routes,” Beaubien said.

Southbound traffic on Providence was backed up to Dover Crossing.

Traffic on Riverside Drive was backed up past College Street. Second Street was backed up to College as well, and Kraft Street was backed up to Frosty Morn Drive.

The vehicle involved is a Dodge pickup and trailer, and the fire has been extinguished. There were no injuries.
