Update, 4 p.m.: The roadway appears to be open, with traffic back to normal.
Update, 3:25 p.m.: Officers are no longer directing traffic, and AT&T flagmen have taken over. Trenton Road has one lane open. The flagmen alternate traffic directions in one clear lane until the line can be reopened, Gill said.
CPD recommends the public continue to find an alternate route until further notice, or be prepared for long delays.
Update, 3:15 p.m.: Trenton Road remains closed.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Trenton Road has been closed by an accident that took down power lines.
Sometime before 11:20 a.m., there was a crash involving a semi-truck at Trenton and Leslie Wood Drive, according to Clarksville Police Lt. Charles Gill.
“Due to power lines being down and the semi-truck, the road is completely closed until further notice,” Gill said. “The public is asked to find alternate routes or be prepared for a long delay.”
At 11:25 a.m., southbound traffic was backed up to Spring Creek, and northbound was backed up almost to Needmore Road.
