TRAFFIC ALERT: Trenton Road closed by overturned dump truck

Update, 4 p.m.: Trenton Road remains closed, and traffic backups are continuing on affected roads.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Trenton Road was closed on Tuesday afternoon after a dump truck overturned on the side of the road.

At about 2:30 p.m., Trenton was closed from Viewmont Drive to Eagle’s Bluff Drive, according to Clarksville Fire Rescue Capt. Michael Rios.

It could remain closed for three to five hours as emergency crews clear the scene, he said.

At 3:15 p.m., southbound traffic was backed up past Tiny Town Road, and there were resulting traffic delays on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Needmore Road.

Drivers are urged to seek an alternate route.
