Update, 4:20 p.m.: Dispatch is now reporting that the transformer causing the signal outage has been fixed, and traffic flow in the area has returned to normal.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville dispatch has reported that a transformer malfunction Tuesday afternoon caused the traffic signal at the intersection of Needmore Road and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard to go out.

As of 3 p.m., traffic in the area appears to be heavily congested and backed up northbound to Union Hall Road. Southbound appears backed up past South Hampton Place.
